Yes, Hollow Knight Silksong still exists and yes, it will be released in 2023… at least according to Xbox.
The title that was born as a massive expansion for Hollow Knight, which you can always retrieve on Amazon, is perhaps starting to give some more concrete signs.
We have been hoping for more than four years to have updates sooner or later, but for now we’ve had to settle for just a few words from Team Cherry.
The fans, meanwhile, are blowing it up with quite important signs of impatience expressed in recent years.
After much silence since the last time we were able to see something from Silksong, Xbox is giving an update on the highly anticipated sequel of the beloved indie.
In a tweet out of nowhere, in fact, the Redmond house confirms that soulslike 2D is still slated for release in 2023:

Hollow Knight: Silksong will follow Hornet after she is captured and taken to a mysterious new realm. Players will help her survive and escape the kingdom, finding numerous tools and weapons along the way to unlock new paths.
We could also throw ourselves into speculation by imagining that its position in the mosaic of images could be somehow linked to the exit, a central position that identifies an exit between May and September, roughly, but it would really be a leap into the void.
