The well-known Shovel Knight is about to receive a new expansion dedicated entirely to the multiplayer of the title and called Shovel Knight: Showdown.

Now, IGN US has released a 10-minute video dedicated to the DLC. You find it a little lower, at the bottom of the news.

The downloadable content, scheduled for next year, will include a series of new modes that will allow a maximum of four players to play the role of one of Shovel Knight’s different characters, in one-on-one duels, in free-for-all for four players or as cooperative teams fighting the AI.

But that’s not all: the modes include Gem Clash, Showdown and an unpublished Story mode.
