Although many hope that the codename “Erebus” could be just the one used to identify the next PlayStation 5, a little while ago the dry denial has arrived.

On Twitter, Arjan Brussee of Epic Games has published a post that leaves no room for further misunderstanding: Erebus does not refer to the code name of PlayStation 5, but it was the way in which Epic Games referred to the Nintendo Switch version of Fortnite.

You understood correctly: no secrets, no mysterious projects. Just a simple codename in view of the official Fortnite announcement on the Grande N hybrid platform, which occurred several weeks ago.

This does not exclude, however, that PS5 is in any case being processed, in some secret laboratory of Sony Interactive.
