Returnal was one of those surprises that delighted all PlayStation 5 owners.\r\nThe success of the game (which you can also find on Amazon at a very low price) demonstrated all the ability of the Finnish development team Housemarque Studios , waiting for their next project.\r\nAlready with Returnal Ascension, shown at the State of Play several months ago, it was understood that the developers would certainly not stop here.\r\nNow, after Housemarque had stated that his next game would include «ideas and narrative systems» cut from Returnal, perhaps tomorrow we will know.\r\nAs also reported by Eurogamer, a mysterious teaser from Housemarque, developer of Returnal, promised an imminent announcement from the studio behind the popular roguelike for PlayStation and PC.\r\n\r\nHousemarque has indeed published a black and white teaser image on the social media platform X this morning.\r\nThe image shows a pair of eyes peering through what looks like fragmented glass, with the caption of a single word: “Tomorrow”.\r\nWhether it is the eyes of Selene Vassos from Returnal, or a totally new character, we cannot know.\r\nHousemarque has already confirmed in the past that it is working on a completely new idea and has suggested that this will be launched first, before any return to Selene’s story.\r\nThe roguelike was in any case one of the most ambitious titles of PS5 and it is therefore normal that Selene’s stellar adventure leads the way for what is to come.\r\nIt is also true that the developer has confirmed that his next game will not be a sequel to Returnal, as the team is currently working on a new IP.\r\nThe PS5 exclusive has in any case received a truly noteworthy recognition some time ago, given that the game was awarded the most prestigious GOTY for the PlayStation world.
