Capcom has announced the postponement of Re: Verse , the new multiplayer game based on the long-running Resident Evil saga .
Re: Verse , offered as a free multiplayer for Resident Evil Village players, will not be released until 2022.
The title had already been rolled away from the release of Village last May, in order to give the development team more time for the finishing touches.
We had already put it to the test just before the original launch date, taking these impressions.

Resident Evil Village will therefore have to wait a little longer before having its long awaited multiplayer mode.
The communication of the new postponement, which speaks of a shift to a generic 2022 , has been entrusted to the social profiles of the saga.
«The launch of Resident Evil Re: Verse previously announced for July 2021 has been moved to 2022» , reads the tweet.
“This way, the team can continue to work to provide a smooth gameplay experience.
We will share updated details on the launch at a later date. Thank you for your patience and understanding ».
It is recommended, however, to redeem the code included in each package of the “single-player version” of Village immediately, so as not to lose it and to be able to start playing immediately once done the launch.
It is plausible that the worsening of the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan was likely to have an impact on the choice.
It is no coincidence that this is the second Japanese product to be postponed within a few days, after Ghostwire Tokyo .
The technical problems of the original beta launch may also have played a role in this decision.
The same goes for the plans for the single-player DLC for Resident Evil Village , which may have been given a higher priority at this point.
