Variety announced in advance that Constantin is currently working on restarting Resident Evil and that the company is “continuing to work creatively”.

It is still unclear what it is, although a viable option is what may be a forthcoming TV series. In any case, both the director Paul W.S. Anderson that the “old” star of the film franchise Milla Jovovich will not be back (both being involved in the adaptation of Monster Hunter).

Recall that Resident Evil: The FInal Chapter, the last chapter of the previous movie saga, was released in early 2017, obtaining a good response from critics and the public.
