Resident Evil, more remakes coming: it’s official

After the remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4, Capcom has confirmed its intention to continue producing them, although it has not announced which will be the next chapter of the series to receive a remake.\r\nAfter the new version of the fourth chapter of the survival horror saga (which you can find on Amazon), fans have long been asking for other revivals of the classics of the past.\r\nThis, considering that just recently someone made it known that they had tried a demo of the alleged Resident Evil Code first hand Veronica Remake.\r\nDuring an awards event for PlayStation partners in Japan, attended and translated by IGN Japan (via IGN US), the director of the Resident Evil 4 remake, Yasuhiro Anpo, stated that the company will announce the next remake of Resident Evil in due time.\r\n«Yes», Anpo replied when asked if Capcom wants to continue making remakes of the horror saga.\r\n«So far we have published three remakes and they have all been welcomed very well. Since it allows a modern audience to play these games, it’s something I’m happy to do as a lover of these old games, and we want to continue making more.”\r\nAnd again: “The game we’ll make again next it’s something we’ll announce in the future, so look forward to the news.”\r\nAt the moment, therefore, it’s just a confirmation without an accompanying title, also given that Capcom doesn’t seem to have any announcements related to the Biohazard saga to date to do soon.\r\nIt is also true that, after the remake of Resident Evil 4, it seems that the new Capcom remake will be Resident Evil 5, rather than Code Veronica.\r\nDespite this, the fact that someone has recently opened a poll on which remake should be made next showed that fans seem to have clear ideas.
