Resident Evil 4 Remake was the undisputed star of last night’s showcase, by the Japanese publisher Capcom , during which we were able to admire the return of Leon S. Kennedy in action.
The remake of the fourth installment of the survival horror series (which you can find on Amazon at a very attractive price) seems to have made everyone agree, fans and not. p>
The new gameplay shown has indeed put on the plate a technically extraordinary game, as well as having a remarkable degree of fidelity to the original.
Although a comparative video released in these hours has underlined the concept, it seems however that the remake will differ from original for a single – and downright sad – detail .
Many of you will remember that in Resident Evil 4 , Capcom decided to include a treat featuring a dog trapped in an animal trap .
Found in the first few bars of the game, Leon ran into a beautiful white beast that ended up as a victim in spite of himself of a bear trap.
The player could choose to leave it there or free it by shooting at the metal object. Apparently, in the Resident Evil 4 remake the animal’s fate is already sealed .
As discovered by IGN US , it appears that in the remake the dog is already dead at the time of our meeting, a heartbreaking scene that not even Leon seems to take too well (in the video you find above).
Still in the original RE4 , if the player decided to save the animal, it would flee and then reappear during the boss fight against El Gigante : the dog was in fact able to distract the colossal opponent, making the fight slightly easier.
If, apart from the detail of the dog, Resident Evil 4 Remake proved to be very faithful to the original, apparently the longevity will also be more or less the same.
But not only that: the minimum and recommended requirements of the PC version of the game suggest that this will be a remake made with all the trappings .
