Capcom , in addition to having the now well-known Resident Evil Village in the pipeline (which we know will be out for next May 7), is also working on a remake of Resident Evil 4 , the historic fourth installment of the franchise originally released on the Nintendo GameCube console in the early 2000s.
It is news a few days ago that Capcom would have decided to pass the work of the game to its main team following the Biohazard saga, which inevitably led to a shift in the output compared to to the original plans of the company.
Translated into other words, it will take several months to go before we see Resident Evil 4 Remake in action. Now, however, someone has well thought of passing the wait by offering us a taste of what could be the final look of the remake (or at least, the thing that comes closest to the moment), recreating the iconic village of “El Pueblo” taken from the initial stages of Resident Evil 4 , all using the Far Cry 5 graphics engine.
The author, known as Mojo Swoptops, has indeed managed to recreate the RE4 village using the map builder of the fifth chapter of the Far series Cry . In the video, viewable just below, Mojo takes viewers step by step through the process of creating the village, explaining how and in what way he was able to recreate the setting (all of which would have kept him busy for about four hours).

Sadly, Mojo has not yet included the ability to explore the Ganados village firsthand, which would not have brought him too surprisingly close to classic gameplay. Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village (it would be great to have a chance to try everything by hand, perhaps thanks to a playable demo).
Resident Evil Village will land on both PS4 and Xbox One and the previously announced PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC versions. The game’s release date is set for next May 7 of this year.
