Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have never tired of supporting the quintessential western title, thanks to mod often really crazy.
The now legendary open world western from the creators of GTA (which you can find on Amazon at a very low price) has been at the center of changes able to improve the experience right down to the foundations.
Recently, in fact, a mod has almost completely revised the system of laws of the game, for a very interesting result.
Not to mention a whole series of technical improvements capable of making Red Dead Redemption 2 really nicer to look at.
Now, as also reported by PCGamesN , the passionate modder community of RDR2 has continued to find new ways to reinvigorate Arthur Morgan’s western universe .
Vestigia , a new gigantic mod of RDR2 made by the talented no12 and his team of collaborators, is the result of a work that lasted more than a year .
In a nutshell, this is a complete overhaul of the game world of Red Dead Redemption 2 , improving the climate, wildlife and behavior systems of NPCs, in an attempt to make Rockstar’s masterpiece even more plausible and “real”.
The mod is divided into four modules , which essentially work – according to what no12 disclosed – as if they were four mods in one.
The weather has been heavily retouched, as the temperature and the transition between rain and sun have been changed, so that showers last longer and gradually turn into clouds , cold and then sun again.
Elements like fog, clouds and dust storms are now detailed and their time cycles have been changed, so they can last longer or only occur in specific regions .
The flora has also been modified, with the undergrowth of the forests denser and the ground more responsive to Arthur’s presence in general: jumping into the water, for example, generates bubbles and foam.
The fourth module, however, is the most substantial, as it increases the pedestrian limit in cities (such as Saint Denis) to 255, as well as adjusting the artificial intelligence so that NPCs are more likely to interact and talk to each other, making the open world more realistic.
Vestigia also reviews wildlife in Red Dead Redemption 2 , placing more birds in the sky and making animals reproduce only in places where this would make sense.
The mod is available for free download at this address and is obviously only compatible with the PC edition of the game.
