11 million copies sold are not few and surprising even for a game of the size of God of War Ragnarok.
The swan song of PlayStation 4 (you can still find the title on Amazon) was an easily predictable success given the media coverage of the franchise reborn in 2018.
It was also one of the best-selling video games of 2022, bested only by true juggernauts that few video games can beat.
And, indeed, God of War Ragnarok has helped to generally lift slumping video game sales during 2022.
A few weeks from the beginning of 2023, Santa Monica Studio is reckoning on the success of its latest production and they are considerable.
As revealed by the same studio via Twitter, Kratos’ new adventure and Atreus soars to 11 million copies sold worldwide.
We’re incredibly humbled that #GodofWarRagnarok has officially sold through 11 million copies!
None of this would be possible without the support of our fans, so thank you for coming on this journey with us! pic.twitter.com/7KlAT9eddG

Really crazy numbers for an exclusive, considering the times that are running. The fact that it was also available on PlayStation 4 certainly contributed, much more widespread than its next-gen cousin, but it is still a remarkable result.
Also driven, as some claim, by the fact that PlayStation 5 was bundled with God of War Ragnarok in one of its latest offerings.
The Santa Monica Studio title is ubiquitous in a certain sense, so much so that a part of him will also be present within the new Marvel video game.
Hennig’s Marvel game was announced in September last year and has been confirmed to feature the likes of Black Panther and Captain America.
