The first Quake World Championships, the demonstration of ultimate ability under the eSport Quake Champions, fly away to the global finals after weeks of intense confrontations between the world’s strongest professional players.
At QuakeCon, 24-26 August in Dallas, Texas, the best of the best will compete on the main stage for the prize money of 1 million dollars and for a place among the legends of the series who founded the eSport. The Quake WorldChampionships are presented by AMD.
During the Quake World Championships, dozens of teams and hundreds of players faced each other in the qualifying rounds in classic mode 1 Con1, “Duel”, and in the new mode 4 team against 4, “sacrifice”. 16 teams for sacrifice and 64 players to Duel faced each other this weekend in the regional finals in Burbank, California, and in Leicester, United Kingdom, to get a place at QuakeCon.
8 eSport teams have gottena place in the finals of Sacrifice, including international teams of high caliber, as Team Liquid and NOTOFAST, whose members are themed competitions Quake legends: noctis, fazz, stermy and toxjq.
In addition, 24 exceptional fighters have gained access to QuakeCon to the finals of the Duel mode, including Liquid. Other 8 finalists of the duel will get somewhere while clashing in the races within the BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) of QuakeCon.
1 million dollars from the QuakeCon finals will be broadcast live from 24 to 26 August on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
