Sony has sent a first wave of PS5 in retail version to the press and American content creators, and this allows us to discover very interesting details before launch.
The photos taken by Sami Sarkar of Polygon , for example, show an unexpected detail placed on the console’s packaging .
one interesting thing about the PS5 box: instructions for transferring data from a PS4 are printed right on the bottom
and just to close the loop, here’s a shot of the top as well

At the bottom of the package you can read the instructions to transfer data from PlayStation 4 to PS5.
This data may include, among other things, entire games, DLCs, saves and more , allowing for significant continuity between the two platforms.
These aspects were clarified recently with a post on PlayStation Blog, after months of waiting to understand how backwards compatibility worked.
The data transfer was called into question a few days ago for the always peculiar case of i PT , with the demo of Silent Hills which cannot be re-downloaded from PlayStation Store as confirmed by Konami but will be at least potentially usable with the modalities guaranteed by this feature.
The transfer can take place in a few different ways, such as connecting both consoles on the same network, connecting an external USB storage to PS5 or logging into your PSN account (for trophies , profile and friends list).
A subscription to PlayStation Plus remains the easiest way, at least for saving games, since it will allow you to access it via the cloud.
If you want to get ready to reserve PS5 when it becomes available again, we recommend that you keep an eye on the dedicated page on Amazon.
