PS5 is still difficult to find but the influx of games, net of some postponements, is starting to take hold and does not seem willing to stop at the moment for everything 2021.
The expectations placed on the upcoming titles from PlayStation Studios , and beyond, are very high after a stellar first-party generation on PS4.
And this is how The Gamer portal has seen fit to consult Google Trends , the Google tool that keeps track of the most sought-after content on the net, to understand which are the most anticipated games for PS5 .
The list includes, in this order:
- Elden Ring
- God of War Ragnarok
- Far Cry 6
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Resident Evil Village
- Gotham Knights
- Uncharted 5
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart
There are some caveats for consulting this ranking: first of all, player searches have often been aimed at titles not yet announced, such as Spider-Man 2 and Uncharted 5 .
Secondly, some games, such as the most wanted of all ( Elden Ring ) but also Gotham Knights em>, have not been announced for next-gen consoles, while others will be cross-gen such as Resident Evil Village, Horizon Forbidden West and Far Cry 6 – quest ‘ last postponed and still undated.
The real next-gen exclusives in ranking are for now Deathloop, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart and God of War Ragnarok , although for the latter the track leading to a launch on PlayStation 4 is still hot .
The good news is that many of these products are already on the way this year, including Deathloop in May, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart officially in the launch window PS5, Resident Evil Village, Gotham Knights, Horizon Forbidden West and, although they don’t believe so many, Kratos and Atreus’ next adventure too.
Just missing Returnal of Housemarque, which was recently postponed by just over a month from its March launch window.
