A few weeks ago Sony Interactive Entertainment Shanghai confirmed that PS5 (both in its optical and all digital edition) will be available in Chinese territory starting next May 15th.
The two platforms, also available in Italy from November, will be available for purchase at a price of 3,899 yuan and 3,099 yuan respectively.
For the occasion, Sony has decided to set up a big event in the city of Shanghai in these hours, just to celebrate the launch of the console (which continues to reap success in the rest of the world).
As also reported by Daniel Ahmad via Twitter , the launch event was held at the city’s West Bund Art Center.
As explained by the well-known analyst, 600 guests were present on the spot (a truly impressive number, if you think of the restrictions imposed in recent weeks to face the world health emergency).

There is some irony to this though, because most of the games playable at the event have not officially been approved for release in China.
