The universe of the Pokémon is preparing to physically conquer Europe with a series of events that will transform shopping centers and museums into real art galleries dedicated to the famous Japanese franchise. The Pokémon Company International has in fact announced an ambitious tour that will touch the main cities of the continent, bringing to the fans an immersive experience that celebrates both the collectible cards as well as the first anniversary of the Pokémon Trading Card Gamet Pocket app.
The Italian capital will act as a forerunner at this wave of events with the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Plaza, a pop-up experience to be held on September 30 and 1 October 2025. The event, inspired by the concept of art gallery, promises to offer visitors an unprecedented approach to the world of Pokémon cards, transforming them into real exhibition works. Access will be free, but it will be necessary to book in advance through the Eventbrite platform, where tickets are already available.
This innovative format represents a particular strategy of The Pokémon Company to celebrate the success of the mobile application, which has achieved significant goals in its first year of life. The idea of presenting digital cards in a physical exhibition context underlines the importance that the franchise attributes to the aesthetic and artistic dimension of its contents.
Parallel to the Roman event, the Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution Experience & Pokémon TCG Pocket 1st Anniversary Museum will start, an itinerant tour that will cross five European countries in October. London will inaugurate the route from 3 to 5 October at the Westfield London of Shepherd’s Bush, followed by Madrid (10-12 October at the Gavia), Paris (17-19 October at the Westfield Forum des Halles), Turin (24-26 October at Le Gru) and finally Oberhausen in Germany (31 October-1 November at the Westfield Center).
