PlayStation Plus, May games announced

Sony today unveiled May games for PlayStation Plus , its subscription service for multiplayer gameplay and monthly free games.

Today’s news follows the arrival of new sales on PlayStation Store, thanks to which it is possible to access over 700 price cuts including those on Nier Automata and Persona 5 Royal .

At the same time, again on the Japanese house’s online store, players can take advantage of the offer of the week available on a highly appreciated indie product.

On the PlayStation Plus theme, rumors about the lineup of free games scheduled for next month have circulated in the past few hours.

It is therefore very interesting to understand whether these rumors have been confirmed or not, in the usual appointment on the last Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm.

This is the lineup of free games included with PlayStation Plus in May :

  • Battlefield V
  • Stranded Deep
  • Wreckfest Drive Hard, Die Last

Battlefield V is the latest installment of DICE and Electronic Arts’s acclaimed first-person shooter series, set in World War II.

Stranded Deep is instead a survival from the indie scene with a tropical twist, appreciated (like Battlefield V ) on PS4.

Finally, the only lottery game for PlayStation 5, the next-gen version of the spiritual heir of Destruction Derby, Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last.

While also available on PS4, Wreckfest is redeemable and enjoyable only on the next-gen console , as announced on PlayStation Blog .

Sony’s choice is therefore confirmed to provide two games for PlayStation 4 and one for PS5 for each new round of PS Plus titles.

Better or worse than the April headlines? We’ll see how fans will react to Sony’s announcement today.

What is certain is that subscribers reacted very, very well to choosing Days Gone as one of the games included at no additional cost.

There was someone, in the month that is now coming to an end, who had managed to grab an extra free title, albeit under certain conditions.

The products offered in April will remain available until May 3, while the new entries will be redeemable until May 31.

We urge you to redeem Sony-provided titles even if you don’t have a PS5, as they will stay with you as long as you are a PS Plus member (or as soon as you return).

If you want to subscribe to PlayStation Plus and redeem April games for free, you can get it now on a 20% sale for the annual subscription.
