Sony today announced new games arriving at no additional cost for PlayStation Plus subscribers in June 2021 .

PlayStation Plus, we remind you, is the subscription service that guarantees three free titles every month, plus online multiplayer.

This month’s lineup was the subject of a heavy leak from a reputable source, which had anticipated a list of potential new entrants.

All while the Japanese house kicked off its annual Days of Play initiative, with which it discounted some PS5 titles for the first time.

Today at 17:30 the official list of free games on PlayStation Plus for the month of June arrived, and we show it below:

• Operation: Tango for PS5
• Star Wars Squadrons
• Virtual Fighter V Ultimate Showdown

This is a description of Operation: Tango provided on PlayStation Blog:

«In Operation: Tango , you and a partner take on the role of Agent Angel or hacker Alistair, working together to solve complex puzzles and save the world.

The asymmetric cooperative mode allows you to play within the same world, but from completely different perspectives.

Regardless of your role, with Operation: Tango you can discover all the beauty that this not too distant future has to offer ».

Operation: Tango is also out on PS4, but PS Plus offers only the PS5 version , similar to what happened with the upgrade of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Oddworld Soulstorm.

Star Wars Squadrons needs no introduction, however: it’s a star shooter from Motive Studios and reviewed at last year’s launch by our Marcello Paolillo.

These two titles can be redeemed until Monday 5th July.

Finally, Ultimate Showdown is nothing more than a new version of the beloved fighter Virtua Fighter 5, of which he marks the return in style.

This will be the only game whose redemption will be guaranteed for two months: it will be removed from the list only on Monday 2nd August.

Beyond these announcements, there may soon be a surprise for subscribers, which would expand the boundaries of PlayStation Plus beyond gaming.

We remind you that you can redeem the May free games for a few more days, so hurry up if you haven’t already.

The titles now in the catalog can be redeemed until May 31, after which – from June 1 – it will be up to the three new games.
