Sony has announced a new free online gaming weekend , with PlayStation Plus opening the doors of multiplayer titles for a few days.
The subscription service will not be required on the dates indicated today to play multiplayer for all products that have it on PS5 and PS4.
The initiative is part of the annual Days of Play program, with which players can also get the first sales on Sony’s first-party titles for PS5.
Play at Home is about to close instead, with a first content drop scheduled for today and one arriving on May 20th, but no new games included.
As for free online multiplayer, the initiative is very simple and will kick off very tightly, as announced today on PlayStation Blog .
For players who have not yet experienced the benefits of the PlayStation Plus online multiplayer mode, Sony offers a weekend in which to access the online multiplayer of PS4 and PS5 titles that already you own.
The start and end dates will be as follows:
- from Saturday 22 May at 00:01 (local time)
- until Sunday 23 May at 11:59 pm (local time).
Of course, games for use in online multiplayer, an Internet connection and a PlayStation Network account are required.
For the rest, in this time window, the obligation to have a subscription to PlayStation Plus to play online will fall.
Considering the success of multiplayer on the PlayStation Store, this promotion will certainly be appreciated by fans of the console made in Japan.
Also on the PlayStation Store are and will continue for a few days the sales on titles for PS4, as well as PS5, including FIFA 21.
As for the last minute offers, we remind you that until tomorrow morning you can take home a beloved horror that has just come out on sale.
