2022 was an important year for PlayStation Plus: you will remember that, last month of June, the subscription for Sony home consoles has undergone a small revolution, which has led users to choose between three different levels.
The old subscription has therefore become the Essential level (you can subscribe on Amazon), the one that allows you to access the online video game modes and have a selection of a few monthly titles to be redeemed and always kept associated with your profile.
Optionally, players can also decide to subscribe to the Extra level – which includes a library of on-demand games for PS4 or PS5 – or the Premium level, which also counts on the classics and the possibility of playing in the cloud.
The Essential level is therefore what was once the only subscription available and it’s certainly what many users keep active just to be able to play online. The fact that it also includes monthly free games, however, has always been a welcome thing: looking back, what games did PlayStation Plus offer subscribers in 2022?
We have retraced the different months to remind you of the Essential library from January to December. There are certainly some interesting names, but our feeling remains clear: people subscribe to this level because they are forced, if they want to access online, much more than for recent or attractive games.
