Atsushi Inaba, studio head of Platinum Games, provided in a recent interview an update on the state of play on Bayonetta 3 .
Inaba explained he was sorry because the software house “can’t share anything” but kept “reassuring that development is going on smoothly”. p>
The game does not have a release date yet but it was presented now in December 2017, so a launch next year would seem feasible.
“Please wait for further updates”, he added, then moving on to another niche product from the Japanese house, but highly esteemed, Wonderful 101 . p>
We have been talking for a long time about a Nintendo Switch port of the exclusive Wii U, and Platinum Games itself has made no difference about its willingness to work on it.
“I think I said it on many occasions”, commented Inaba. “And I’m glad I did. So if you could be more patient with this, it would be great”.
Patience is not one of the virtues that gamers are known for, but in this case it could be worth it.
The next release of Platinum Games for Nintendo Switch is Astral Chain, and is scheduled for exclusive release on August 30.
