It was in the air, but now it’s official: after Diablo 4, during BlizzCon 2019, Blizzard raised the curtain on Overwatch 2 , the new chapter of the famous online multiplayer shooter series.

For the occasion, a first announcement trailer was also released, which you can find below:

From what has been leaked so far, Overwatch 2 will still be a multiplayer experience, although this time the players will not only have to fight against each other.

There will in fact be story-based missions, similar in design to the Overwatch Archive events. The participating heroes will be able to unblock “talents” and game objects, which will resume in all and for all the exclusive system seen in the first Overwatch.

A new hero has also been revealed, Sojourn, while the second chapter of the series should see a total of as many as 31 playable characters.
