Gamescom 2022’s Opening Night Live was a good stage for several highly anticipated game presentations that will see the light in the coming months.
Starring titles were Hogwarts Legacy (which you can also find on Amazon ) , A Plague Tale: Requiem , Sonic Frontiers , Gotham Knights and Return to Monkey Island , just to name a few.
If you want to know more, in our recap published yesterday evening you can in fact retrieve everything that was shown during the event.
Even the fans of soulslike have had bread for their teeth, like for example thanks to a title with an oriental atmosphere called Where Wind Meets , which is accompanied by another very interesting : we are talking about The Lords of the Fallen .
As also reported by GamesRadar , one of the first games that decided to “challenge” the Dark Souls series many years ago is therefore about to receive a real reboot .
Announced at Gamescom, The Lords of the Fallen is indeed a true own reboot of the 2014 eponymous game, now developed by CI Games .
Set more than a thousand years after the events of the parent chapter, the reboot promises a vast, interconnected world five times larger than the original . Below, the official trailer.
It remains to be seen whether it can compete with the vast Interregnum wastes of Elden Ring , although the term “interconnectivity” certainly harks back to the map of Dark Souls .
The trailer focuses on how the world has changed in the past millennia since the first Lords of the Fallen : even if defeated, the gods won’t be dead forever and the influence of those killed a thousand years ago is felt, corrupting the lands of men despite the millennial effort to keep the dead in the afterlife.
Staying on the subject, yesterday the gameplay of Lies of P was also shown, the new souls that takes its cue from the tale of Pinocchio, with an aesthetic touch taken directly from the well-known masterpiece such as Bloodborne .
