After officially saying goodbye to The Game Awards 2022, the time has come to sum up the show hosted by Geoff Keighley, not only in terms of the prizes won but also and especially for trailers and announcements.
One of the most awaited and anticipated games by the public and critics was certainly the mysterious project by Hideo Kojima: the TGA 2022 confirmed that it is DS2, a sequel to Death Stranding (find the Director’s Cut for less than 20 euros on Amazon) which, as per tradition with the famous director, is still shrouded in mystery.
And yet, although it was a particularly fascinating and intriguing trailer, it seems that DS2 was not the most important game unveiled during the show, at least based on the results obtained from the respective videos on YouTube.
The well-known market analyst Benji-Sales has in fact compiled all the data obtained from the trailers shortly more than 24 hours after the conclusion of The Game Awards 2022, discovering that the most watched trailer ever was Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to the beloved Fallen Order.
The last videogame episode of Star Wars was a real domain, reaching 4.9 million views, over the double compared to the runner-up: it is Hades II, another unexpected novelty that has instead earned 2.4 million views.
Slightly more detached we find Armored Core VI with 2.2 million, Suicide Squad with 2.1 million and the aforementioned Death Stranding 2 with 1.9 million views.
The top 8 ends with the DLC Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty at 1.6 million, Diablo IV at 1.5 million and Tekken 8 close the ranking, with 1.4 million views.

If we only look at the data of views, Star Wars Jedi Survivor seems to be an already announced success: Benji-Sales recalls that Fallen Order had reached 20 million players, a huge number for a title without any multiplayer component.
Considering that there is great anticipation for Cal Kestis’ new adventure, 2023 may have already found one of the possible blockbusters: at this point we just have to wait for 17 March to return to the Star Wars universe and find out all the details.
In the meantime, if you need a little refresher or you missed some of the announcements, in our full recap you will find all the announcements and trailers of the show hosted by Geoff Keighley.
Benji-Sales also summarized all the wins awarded at The Game Awards 2022, revealing which were the most awarded games of the show: there are not only Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok, but also two other big surprises.
