Unreal Engine 5 allows you to relive video games from the past and, for fans of racing games from times gone by, someone has created a playable version of Need for Speed Underground 2 complete with a demo available.\r\nThe author of the mod, NostalgiaNexus, already known for working on a remake of NFS: Most Wanted in UE5, has now released a playable taste of Need for Speed Underground 2 (via DSOGaming).\r\nFor those who want to go back and play an iconic racing title, a proponent of that wave of passion for tuning well before the more recent Need for Speed Unbound (you can find it on Amazon), now it is possible to try the work of the modder.\r\nNostalgiaNexus has just published a demo for the fan made remake of Need for Speed Underground 2 made with Unreal Engine 5.\r\nHere is a taste of the modder’s work:\r\n\r\nIf you want to try the time travel experience you can download the mod via the author’s Discord server, at this address.\r\nObviously you won’t have the feeling of playing a modern Need for Speed in all respects, because it is a video game that is now dated and above all the work of a single person, but considering that there are no titles worthy enough of the saga at the moment it is still a great opportunities.\r\nUnreal Engine 5 has often been at the center of many works of this type. There are those who have even tried to rework Grand Theft Auto 3 to make it modern, obviously the ever green Skyrim which is never missing from these lists, while SEGA seems to be able to use it even for a remake of Sonic.\r\nFor other trips into the time there have also been those who have wanted to recreate World of Warcraft with the powerful engine and, even in this case, Unreal Engine 5 is a portal to go back to the good old days.
Need for Speed Underground 2 in Unreal Engine 5 is time travel (and it’s playable)
