Monster Hunter World has never stopped selling: the numbers are impressive

That Monster Hunter World was a success for Capcom is certainly no mystery, and in addition to having contributed to making the brand more famous, the giant monster hunting action game went on to sell over 25 million copies.\r\nWhile Monster Hunter Rise was first released on Switch (you can find it on Amazon with the expansion) and then on other platforms, World exploited the popularity of PlayStation 4 to make its way onto the market, with PC support obviously. For this reason he had the opportunity to immediately speak to a much wider audience.\r\nAfter the launch the recent Capcom Highlights, an event dedicated to Capcom franchises in which among other things Akuma was shown in Street Fighter 6, the Nipponica has released the numbers for the recent Monster Hunter.\r\n”The series has become a global phenomenon with cumulative sales of the series exceeding 97 million units as of December 31, 2023,” Capcom said in a public note on the site official,\r\nWith Monster Hunter World, Capcom took the series to global brand status with the first simultaneous global launch, establishing the game as the best-selling Capcom title of all time within a month of its release.\r r\nIn the six years since launch, the title has continued to sell well, reaching the all-time record of 25 million units sold worldwide, and with Monster Hunter Wilds it will be interesting to see if Capcom will continue to keep the brand’s reputation high, and so will the sales of the new chapter which will arrive at an unspecified time in 2025.\r\nEven recently Monster Hunter World has been taken by storm after the announcement of the next chapter, which after 20 years still manages to attract more people: in our latest Gameshift Originals we explained why.
