Microsoft has confirmed the event of March 26 which had been the subject of rumors in recent weeks, and it will be a somewhat special event.
As revealed on Xbox Wire , the showcase will focus on ID @ Xbox and will be produced in collaboration with Twitch Gaming.

The showcase will feature over 100 games from the independent scene, with locations around the world.
Among the publishers involved are:
- DrinkBox
- Curve Digital
- Devolver Digital
- Dear Villagers
New trailers and gameplay will be shown for over 25 games, including Stalker 2, Second Extinction, The Ascent , The Wild at Heart, Voidtrain, Exo One and others.
Stalker 2 in particular was unveiled as a console exclusive at Microsoft’s July 2020 event, and impressed with its visual impact.
The Ascent was originally scheduled for day one of Xbox Series X | S, but has since been postponed to a later date – and will be starting day one on Xbox Game Pass.
“We will announce independent titles coming to Xbox and Xbox Game Pass” , Microsoft’s announcement also reads.
The appointment is set for 5:00 pm next Friday, March 26th, and will be followed in a couple of weeks by another event dedicated to Age of Empires IV and others chapters of the series.
