The saga of Metal Gear Solid is certainly one of the most important franchises among those within Konami, despite the fact that over the years it has become part of the publisher’s “dormant series”.
After the fifth chapter of the saga, many are hoping that Snake partners will return soon in a brand new chapter.
In April, in fact, a mysterious tweet had rekindled hopes, despite as of today of a new episode of the Metal Gear saga still nothing.
However, the last “unofficial” chapter to appear on the market is Metal Gear Survive , a multiplayer title based on the mechanics of The Phantom Pain , but introducing some new elements of exploration and survival.
Presenting itself as a spin-off of the main story of Metal Gear Solid V , the game was set in a real alternate universe, where we were called to create our character, look for resources, create weapons and build a base camp.
Survive also featured a cooperative mode , in order to form teams of up to four players.
The game, while not actually that bad, received heavy criticism and reviews from historical fans of the series created by Hideo Kojima.
Now, via Reddit , a long 15-minute video has been shared explaining in detail what went wrong in the development of the game ( and how in reality the game is born from some ideas born by Kojima-san himself).
