MediEvil is today 20 years old, the action adventure title for the first PlayStation launched in Europe on 9 October 1998.
The anniversary was celebrated by lead artist Jay Gunn with a new artwork, shared on Twitter along with some curiosities related to the creation of the game.
Gunn underlined how the project has been at the time brought forward with a passion for gaming, and for the genres of horror and fantasy with lots of fun & # 8221 ;.
The lead artist also recalled how at the time each system was created ex novo (the mechanics of the shots in a 3D world, for example) and was not & # 8220; out of the box & amp; # 8221; it happens very often today.

The remake question
At PlayStation Experience 2017, Sony has fulfilled the wishes of millions of fans around the world by presenting a remake of MediEvil.
However, the announcement has come in rather nebulous circumstances: we do not know who is dealing with it and when we can expect an output or at least more information.
We have only a very short teaser trailer that gives all the effects of the official news of its development, and that we propose again below.
Many hoped for a return of the game for this December, simultaneously with a PlayStation Experience 2018, but com & amp; # 8217; it is known that the event will not be held this year.
