Meanwhile, Tekken 8 has also taken over the London sky

We have seen over the top advertising of all kinds, related to the world of video games. Someone will remember the scary one from Resident Evil (the Netflix series, actually scary too), or the one from Red XIII which jumped out of the billboard (but only apparently!) for the launch of Final Fantasy VII Remake in Japan. Here, the one from Tekken 8 that arrives from London may have just beaten them.\r\nAs reported by journalist Jez Corden of Windows Central on Twitter, in fact, the launch of Bandai Namco’s fighting game was promoted with a choreography of drones above the Tower Bridge of the British capital: here is how Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima hit each other with a contemporary punch in the skies of London, before the luminous drones compose the name of the game, signaling its availability in stores.\r\nThe video is obviously intriguing many enthusiasts and making the rounds on the web, but there is also some controversy: some, in fact, are quite worried at the idea that even the sky – if these practices became daily – could end up being considered a big advertising billboard.\r\ n\r\n«The marketing for Tekken 8 in London is going all out, WOAH!» was Jez Corden’s comment on his profile.\r\nIt is not the first time that, in the last few months, we have seen particularly flashy advertisements: you will surely also remember the case of the Sphere in Las Vegas, which PlayStation and Xbox had immediately disputes – and which certainly does not go unnoticed.\r\nTekken 8 is available from January 26th on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series Its playful proposal made a positive impression on Silvio Mazzitelli – our fighting game expert – who in his video review rewarded the return of Jin and Kazuya with a very high rating, defining this episode as the “best Tekken ever created”. And considering how high the bar was set by previous chapters, that’s saying a lot.
