DC and Warner Bros. Games celebrated Batman Day 2025 by publishing a new behind the scenes of LEGO Batman: the legacy of the Dark Knight, the next great videogame chapter dedicated to the Knight of Gotham.
The video brings us behind the scenes of development, offering a new taste of the gameplay and the comments of some weight names: James Gunn (co-director and head of the DC Studios), Jim Lee (president and creative head of DC), Jonathan Smith (TT Games) and Jesper C. Nielsen (Lego Group).
The team explains how 86 years of Batman’s history – from comics to TV series, from films to video games – have been condensed in a single experience. All this, of course, with the classic humor that distinguishes Lego games.
“This game is a celebration of the whole Batman path.” James Gunn, DC Studios co-director said.
As a fans bonus, at launch it will be possible to unlock the golden age of the gold, inspired by Batman’s iconic debut on Detective Comics n ° 27 (1939). It will be available for those who own a WB Games account or for those who create one at the time of launch.
Developed by TT Games, Lego Batman: the inheritance of the Dark Knight promises an epic journey that traces the transformation of Bruce Wayne, from man to legend.
The game will be released in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). You can already add it to your wish list on supported platforms.
