The great Japanese video game event is preparing to host some of the most anticipated surprises of the year, with Koei Tecmo who confirmed its lineup (as well as Bandai and Capcom) for the Tokyo Game Show 2025. From 25 to 28 September, at Makuhari Masse di Chiba, visitors will be able to try three leading titles, marking the return of historic francs and the evolution of already loved sagas.
Among the most anticipated proposals stands out Ninja Gaiden 4 (we tried it), which will stage the iconic Ninja Ryu Hayabusa in a new action adventure available on Test on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. At the same time, fans will be able to get their hands on Nioh 3, the third chapter of the souls-like series set in feudal Japan, also playable on PS5 and PC.
There will be room for a prestigious collaboration with Nintendo: Hyrule Warriors: the era of exile will in fact arrive on Switch 2, representing one of the first Musau titles to exploit the potential of the new console. The game will combine the frenetic action typical of the Warriors series with the universe of The Legend of Zelda, in a mix that promises to enhance the fans of the saga.
The selection clearly reveals the approach of the publisher, which aims at a balance between inheritance and novelty: Ninja Gaiden 4 for longtime fans, Nioh 3 (we also tried with his hand) as a natural evolution of a recent success, and a new Hyrule Warriors: the era of exile (which has been disclosed will have a completely unpublished story) to strengthen the partnership with Nintendo and exploit the partnership with Nintendo launch of the new Switch 2.
Koei Tecmo has also anticipated that further details will be revealed in the coming weeks, keeping the attention alive in view of one of the most important events of the year for the Japanese videogame industry. The possibility of previewing these three titles will undoubtedly be one of the main calls of the event.
