In recent weeks there has been a lot of talk about the Kadowaka-Sony deal, which would potentially significantly change the economic balance, and in the last few hours the employees of the large publishing group have also expressed their opinion.\r\nKadokawa is a gigantic group which, among many things, also owns FromSoftware author of Elden Ring (you can find it on Amazon), and about a month ago the desire of the two companies to join efforts emerged for the first time.\r\nWithout an official statement, obviously, Reuters had reported that Sony had refused to comment on the news, while Kadokawa simply claimed that he could not make any comment on the matter.\r\nFans don’t seem to be very happy about this possible acquisition, but the people who work at Kadokawa don’t think so (as reported by VGC).\r\nThe company’s employees seem to look favorably on the possible acquisition by Sony, mainly due to discontent arising from internal management problems within the company.\r\nAccording to what was reported by some sources, Dissatisfaction with the current management by CEO Takeshi Natsuno appears to be a key factor in employees’ desire to see the Kadokawa-Sony deal come to fruition.\r\nAn anonymous employee said:\r\n \r\n«People around me are excited about the prospect of an acquisition by Sony.  This is because there are a number of employees who are dissatisfied with the Natsuno administration, which did not even bother to hold a press conference after people’s personal information was leaked in the cyberattack. They expect that if Sony were to acquire the company, they would get rid of the president sooner.”\r\n\r\nObviously it is not up to the staff to make the final decision regarding the agreement, but it is certainly an interesting signal to understand how this story could end.\r\nKadokawa will certainly look to his own satisfaction and, apparently, the possible signing with Sony could arrive relatively quickly.
