Jan Rabson is a well-known name for gamers, at least those with a few years on their shoulders, for lending the unmistakable nasal voice to the protagonist of Leisure Suit Larry .
Rabson voiced Larry Laffer’s character for the first time in Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up or Slip Out from 1993 , and then continued with Leisure Suit Larry’s Casino, Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude and Leisure Suit Larry : Reloaded , a 2013 remake of the original title of the saga.
He recently returned to the role in 2018 for Wet Dreams Do n’t Dry and two years later in Wet Dreams Dry Twice .
Other games Jen Rabson has lent her talent to include King’s Quest : Mask of Eternity, Sacrifice, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Toy Story 3 and the newer Thimbleweed Park .
While her career as a video game voice actor is remarkable, it’s a relatively minor part of her career path. Rabson was very active in film and TV, where he lent his voice to numerous animated films and shorts, including Toy Story, Mulan, Cars, a Bug’s Life and Up .
He voiced Tetsuo in the Streamline Pictures dub of Akira , and had minor roles on several television shows, starting with early 1980s shows such as The Facts of Life, One Day at a Time and the legendary Knight Rider .
His most recent appearance was the 2022 reboot of Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers , released on Disney +.
