For some time now there has been talk of a possible return of Crash Bandicoot with a new game: in fact, there are rumors about the possible imminent announcement of Wumpa League , a probable multiplayer spin-off in the wake of Crash Bash.

In recent weeks, however, the rumors have begun to become even more insistent, with potential confirmation arriving thanks to the new version on Steam of Crash Bandicoot 4 (you can find it on Amazon in console version).

After throwing a first clue thanks to a pizza (yes, you got it right) Activision seems to have hidden several references to this new title in the PC version of the fourth chapter, discovered by a dataminer.

As reported by TheGamer , the dataminer ditto_arts on Twitter has indeed discovered references to special moves, playable characters and even exclusive properties , which would seem to confirm the report on the possible “new” Crash Bash .

The datamine would have confirmed that among the characters we would see the return of Coco Bandicoot, Dingodile, Neo Cortex, Fake Crash, Papu Papu and Ripper Roo: it is possible that these files have remained by mistake at the Crash 4 or even deliberately , knowing that someone would notice them.

It is not clear what these references are for, but it is likely that they are related to the upcoming Wumpa League , the chapter of Crash Bandicoot in multiplayer: given that unique moves and abilities are mentioned, such as three-hit combos and various launch effects, could be a brawler or a platform fighter with the most famous characters of the saga.

The datamine also unveils the Capture The Flag, Race Royale and Ring Out modes, as well as several usable items that would confirm not only the return of Aku Aku and Uka Uka, but also masks seen in Crash 4 .
