Intergalactic, the protagonist responds to criticism: «Are you crazy, bro?»

The reveal of the new Naughty Dog game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, did not arouse the hoped-for enthusiasm among PlayStation fans, but also some criticism from the usual haters. \r\nThe new game from the authors of Uncharted (which you can find on Amazon) does not seem to have convinced everyone.\r\nAfter the reveal of the game’s trailer at The Game Awards 2024, an avalanche of criticism promptly arrived, especially regarding the appearance of the protagonist Jordan, played by Tati Gabrielle.\r\nNow, it is Gabrielle herself who has decided to respond sharply to the criticisms, as also reported by CB.\r\nThe actress who plays the protagonist Jordan A. Mun responded in a provocative way, sharing a work of fan art of the game accompanied by the message «Are you crazy, bro?».\r\nThe reaction did not go unnoticed and, although the post was subsequently removed without any explanation, it further divided the community.\r\nSome appreciated the actress’s stance against the criticisms, many of which seem to focus precisely on her character.\r\nOthers, however, saw it as an unprofessional move, considering the already delicate situation of game.\r\nIt is not clear whether PlayStation itself intervened to have the post removed, given that its communication is notoriously very careful and controlled. In any case, the image has disappeared, but – as I often say – the web does not forget.\r\nThis is demonstrated by the enormous gap between dislikes and likes on the Naughty Dog and PlayStation YouTube channels, where the official trailer collected more criticism than appreciation.\r\nAs if that wasn’t enough, we also remember that recently the comments on the video published by Naughty Dog were deactivated, while that of PlayStation was literally flooded with negative feedback.\r\nNeither Naughty Dog nor PlayStation have commented on the backlash or openly acknowledged the situation.\r\nIntergalactic: The Heretic Prophet represents in any case a big bet for Naughty Dog and PlayStation, with high sales expectations to cover the development costs of such an ambitious project.\ r\nThe fate of the game remains uncertain, but it is clear that, to win over the public, more targeted strategic and communication moves will be needed (hoping it doesn’t end up like Concord, in short).
