During the resolution of a puzzle in Indiana Jones and the ancient circle (here you find our review), a player has by chance discovered an unprecedented interaction that revolutionizes the use of objects in the game: by pouring the sacred wine inside the poult for an enigma, it is possible to automatically turn off the lit torches.
The discovery took place by mistake: the player was trying to complete the puzzle with the wine provided for by internal mechanics, but he realized that the liquid, accidentally poured on some torches, caused the extinction of the flames. This effect is not documented in the prologues or in the game prompts: no tutorial mentions it.
The action is not confined to a scenic animation: the torches really go out, opening passages or deactivating obstacles that would normally require other objects or levers. It is an interaction declared, but which expands the methods of resolution of the puzzles in the game.
The player tested the trick in several similar scenarios, managing to turn off torches even in collateral rooms where the wine had not been foreseen, confirming that the behavior is repeatable. No penalty or malus has been recorded associated with the use of wine in this way: indeed, it seems even facilitating certain alternative solutions of puzzles.
Although not a glitch, this discovery could represent an Easter Egg not foreseen by the developers, or perhaps an interpretative residue left in the level code. Whatever the origin, the result is clear: a game object takes on a function different from the expected function, offering creative approaches to the resolution of the puzzles.
After the release of the game on PlayStation 5 (April 2025) and PC/Xbox (December 2024), many parts of the enigmistic experience of the title have been appreciated for their coherent and thematic design.
At the moment it does not appear that a patch is scheduled to correct or deactivate this interaction: the developers have not officially expressed themselves on the matter, leaving the freedom to experience the community.
