The Summer Game Fest 2024 may not be the overflowing event we expect, but at least it will see the return of Slitterhead, the new project by Keiichiro Toyama, author of Silent Hill.\r\nSlitterhead had already shown itself fleetingly a few years ago , confirming if nothing else that the master is back at work on a video game genre that he does quite well, to put it mildly.\r\nThe presence of the title was confirmed by Geoff Keighley himself, the same Geoff Keighley who at the same time way warned us not to get too hyped for Summer Game Fest 2024 since there won’t be much of it.\r\n\r\nSlitterhead will therefore be among the many Summer Game Fest announcements, and if nothing else this is almost a new title, given that we haven’t known anything about the video game from the creator of Silent Hill since 2021.\r\nToyama has in fact defined it as «a horror with moments of unbridled action», while as regards the type of experience he wants offer, the director declared that the gameplay will be able to “provide new and unexpected ways to have fun”.\r\nNot surprisingly, the music for Slitterhead is also by Akira Yamaoka, historic composer of the Silent Hill saga.\ r\nIt sounds like exactly what Silent Hill 2 fans were looking for with the remake but, even on the latest occasion it doesn’t seem like the return of Konami’s title is something to look forward to with great joy. At least there is a release date, in the hope that it will improve before its release.\r\nIf, however, you can’t help but hope to return to Silent Hill 2 as soon as possible, you can purchase the remake on Amazon at the best price.\r\nBut is Silent Hill 2 Remake really better than the original? A video comparison gives us the answer which, curiously, is not as obvious as you might think.
