A series of job offers appearing on the official website would seem to suggest that Guerrilla Games is working at full speed on a new Horizon.
Horizon: Zero Dawn was launched in early 2017 and the Dutch software house worked on a single expansion, apparently to focus on … more.
This “other”, judging from job offers, would be a Horizon 2, or whatever may be the official name to replace the original “Zero Dawn”.
Among the offers we find a senior quest designer, who will have to help “create experiences of innovative gameplay that can immerse the player in history” in an open world context.
An environment artist is also sought in order to allow the team to “respect the requirements of history, quest and design for each location”. It should also be noted that we are talking about bringing combat mechanics “to a next level”.
In short, the identikit seems to fit together and, while we do not expect a reveal at E3 2018 – where the fire meat for Sony will be already a lot -, it will be good to keep your eyes open in the next year.
