It’s been a few months since Konami announced a return to its beloved Silent Hill franchise, with numerous projects including also Silent Hill 2 Remake – which wants to bring new players to discover the disturbing events starring James Sunderland.
Just on that occasion, the Japanese company also unveiled the arrival of new figures designed for collectors who love the saga, which also includes the new official statuette of James. Made in 1/6 scale and something more than 30 cm high, this statuette has just opened pre-orders on the manufacturer Gecco store, even if the price is not for all budgets .
If you want to take this collector’s item home, in fact, you will have to invest 42,000 yen, something more than 290 euros at the current exchange rate. Shipments should begin between August and November 2023, so the debut is not too many months away. To understand, of course, when the game will debut instead – considering that just a few days ago Bloober Team had calmed everyone down, after a little too enthusiastic indiscretions.
In this case, we see James reproduced in many fine details: we go from his clothing to the torch, passing through a base where you will surely notice well-recreated details. It is also possible to make James hold some objects in his hands, ranging from his gun to the crowbar that you could find shortly after starting the game.
Previously, Gecco had also created another figure for the game, that of Pyramid Head. In the future, the series should be embellished with a third figure, the one dedicated to Maria, even if we are still waiting to find out when that should make its debut.
Silent Hill 2 Remake was just one of the announcements made by Konami during the its Silent Hill Transmission: among other novelties, in fact, we also have a new narrative episode (Townfall) and a mysterious project with a hypnotic artistic direction, baptized Silent Hill F, by we are waiting to find out more.
We’ll see if this return, which will also involve a new film, will bring the Silent Hill franchise to its former glory. For now, the figures are definitely playing their part.
