It’s incredible that, after so many years, Half-Life 3 is a topic to discuss and not a catchphrase to leave for posterity, but there are those who claim that Valve has even started the first playtests of this project.\r\nThis is what is reported by Gabe Follower, a content creator specializing in the world of Valve’s intellectual properties, who has repeatedly shared reliable information in the past regarding the video game company’s projects.\r\nThis time he claims that Half-Life 3 has recently started a playtest phase dedicated to family and friends of Valve employees, under the code name of HLX.\r\nIf this playtest turns out to be true it would mean that Half-Life 3 has reached a fundamental stage in its development. Playtests, even internal like this one, are started when a video game has a solid foundation and is basically playable, although it may still be subject to significant changes based on the feedback collected.\r\n\r\nObviously we just have to wait further confirmations from Valve, and a possible announcement that could even arrive during 2025, at this point.\r\nThe never published sequel to Valve’s title (you can find it on Amazon in a million editions) could really arrive on the market, sooner or later.\r\nHalf-Life 3 has been talked about again in recent years before with a confirmation from Valve, which revealed how the title had actually been in the concept phase at a certain point. Then another more recent confirmation for the twentieth anniversary which, with hindsight compared to today’s news, takes on a completely different meaning.\r\nThe rumors about Half-Life 3 continue to come and go and, at this point, it is legitimate expect there to be some truth to it. Recently there has also been talk about the alleged structure of gameplay and game design, complete with illustrious comparisons.
