October is now in full swing, thus officially kicking off a truly amazing videogame season. Consequently, the Italian software ranking week sees GTA V lose the first position.
During the summer only FIFA 21 had managed to unseat His Majesty Grand Theft Auto V from the throne, which has now happened again thanks to another football title.
A little indiscretion related to the trailer of GTA V in the next-gen version, which apparently would hide the setting of the upcoming and mysterious GTA 6 .

IIDEA – the Association that represents the videogames industry in Italy – has in fact published the weekly ranking of videogames best-selling in Italy , from 27 September to 3 October 2021.
In the first position we find FIFA 22 in PlayStation 4 version, the last chapter of the well-known sports series by Electronic Arts.
The surprises do not end there, as second and third place are also all for FIFA 22 : the silver medal goes to the PS5 edition of the game, while the Xbox console version gets bronze.
Incredible but true, also as regards the PC ranking FIFA 22 gets the first undisputed position, thus bringing home a not bad four aces.
Second place for Middle-earth: Shadow of War , the action RPG developed by Monolith Productions and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
Third place for Nier Automata , the famous action title developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix that certainly needs no introduction.
Speaking of GTA again, did you read that Rockstar recently raised the curtain on the remastered of the three classic games of the 128-bit era?
It is also true that the developer has stated that it will remove the three original classics from all digital stores, making them accessible only through the aforementioned Trilogy .
But that’s not all: GTA V has just welcomed the deadly doll of Squid Game , the Netflix show that is enjoying unprecedented success in recent weeks.
