According to Digital Foundry, God of War represents the new benchmark, from an exquisitely technical point of view, for the titles that will arrive on PS4 Pro.
Previously, the scepter was firmly in the hands of Horizon: Zero Dawn, but it seems that Santa Monica Studio has surpassed this new exploit.
“The image looks sharper than Horizon, and the occasional checkerboarding artifacts are only visible when you look carefully and very selectively,” explains DF in an article published today.
“While not native as such, it’s beautiful on an ultra HD screen and for our judgment this is coming up as one of the cleanest 4K games available for the platform.”
Curiously, according to Digital Foundry, “our pixel count has revealed nothing but a 2160p output”, although for the same admission by Sony the title has a dynamic scaling of the resolution with a rendering checkerboard.
