Well-known modder Lance McDonald has been rummaging through the files of some PS4 games and confirmed that they have been updated for PS5 .
We had already reported mysterious updates of some PlayStation 4 games, which arrived without detailed changelogs in the last few weeks, suggesting that it could have been updates aimed at the new Sony console.
Ok I can confirm that God of War 3 Remastered, God of War (2018) and Final Fantasy 7 Remake have now been updated with some amount of added PS5 support. However, there’s no way to know what amount of “support” this actually is until we get hands-on.

McDonald has confirmed that God of War 3 Remastered, God of War and Final Fantasy VII Remake em> have been updated «with some kind of PS5 support added».

The less tempting hypothesis is that these games needed updates simply to unlock PlayStation 5 backward compatibility support.
The most tempting, however, concerns graphic improvements and the Game Boost mode, which on Ghost of Tsushima will double the frame rate.
For now, Sucker Punch’s action adventure is the only confirmed game to support it , but who knows the list isn’t going to grow with at least some Sony exclusives.
God of War not surprisingly includes a mode that unlocks the frame rate, and titles that adopt this type of solution could easily switch to the locked 60fps.
