The US magazine Game Informer sat at a table with Junichi Masuda, co-founder of Game Freak and author of the Pokemon video games on Nintendo consoles. With the developer, colleagues have talked first of all future plans, discussing whether they are made more remakes of episodes outdated: the hypothesis, says Masuda, is anything but remote.

“I don’t think we’re focused exclusivelyon the development of new products. I think the nostalgia factor is really important, it is essential to give to memories and content a chance to shine even in the face of new players. I myself am a gamer and I love that sort of thing “said Masuda.

The author also spoke of Pokemon gray, the video game that according to rumors at the time of Pomemon black and Pokemon black, had to be set a few years after these two. The idea of giving this titlethe sequel, however, never went through, but it was decided to keep the names of the first episodes: ‘ many people, at that time, they expected Pokemon gray, but the idea behind Pokemon black and Pokemon White was that there were opposing forces, as a sort of yin and yang. If we had decided to call the following Pokemon grey, then this concept would be lost, so we decided to go with Pokemon black and Pokemon White 2 2.»
