The Kadokawa-Sony deal could be one of the most important news of the moment, when it is confirmed, but FromSoftware knows nothing about the matter concerning the company that owns it.\r\nAs you know, in fact, Kadokawa is a group giant which, among many things, also owns FromSoftware, author of Elden Ring (you can find it on Amazon), but they know nothing of what is happening.\r\nAnd it is precisely the destiny of FromSoftware that is at the center of fans’ concerns. What will happen if Sony manages to acquire Kadokawa?\r\nThe answer is game director Junya Ishizaki in an interview with IGN, but don’t expect great answers on the matter:\r\n\r\n«To be honest, we don’t know exactly where the discussions are at this time. If there are ongoing negotiations, we have not been informed.»\r\n\r\nThe situation is decidedly curious, because Kadokawa employees have proven to be very proactive towards the acquisition. In fact, due to a ruling class deemed inadequate, the arrival of Sony could be the proverbial manna.\r\nAt this point we can therefore only wait for a definitive confirmation, given that the parties involved have already said that the negotiation is absolutely real.\r\nKadokawa was the first to state that she was in negotiations with Sony, and the latter responded in return by stating that there is a willingness for the two companies to reach an agreement.\r\nIf the operation came completed, this is unlikely to spell the end of multiplatform releases for franchises like Elden Ring.
