Fortnite continues to be at the center of rumor and data linked to possible crossover. The last one concerns two icons of the saw world: Sonic and Shadow, which could soon land in Epic Games’s Battle Royale. But not in the way that fans expect.
According to what was shared by the Leaker W sense, known for having revealed several content in the past well in advance, traces of Sonic and Shadow themed kicks have been found in the game files. They would therefore be of sneakers inspired by the two characters, destined to enter the virtual shop as cosmetic objects to be equipped to their avatars.

The shoe design would seem to be connected to the new Puma X Sonic the Hedgehog collection, which will be available in stores from 30 October. It is therefore not excluded that precisely that date can coincide with the debut of the objects in Fortnite, even if for now there have been no assets related to the official shop.
The Puma collection also includes models dedicated to Tails, which however have not yet been identified inside the Battle Royale.
Of course, the news has turned on the curiosity of the fans, who wonder if in addition to the shoes they can also arrive skin complete with the characters. A possibility that at the moment appears not very likely: on the one hand for the proportions of the characters, very different from the Fortnite standards, on the other for the will of Sega to preserve consistency with one’s imagination.

Not surprisingly, many stressed that it would be difficult to imagine Sonic with a rifle in hand, while Shadow, in the past, was the protagonist of more “mature” experiences.
At the moment the most concrete hypotheses therefore speak of further cosmetic objects, perhaps other clothing inspired by the franchise, rather than the insertion of playable characters. The fact remains that a crossover of this type would also make sense in view of the imminent exit of Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, expected by the end of the month and already focused on crosses and collaborations with other series.
It would not be the first time that Fortnite tightens partnerships with brands and icons of pop culture, since the Kicks section of the shop has already hosted brands such as Nike, Adidas, Vans and Puma herself. The arrival of a crossover with Sonic and Shadow would therefore fit into a consolidated trend, which continues to transform Epic’s Battle Royale into a real interactive cultural hub.
