Five Lego games could arrive on Switch 2

Nintendo Switch 2 back -compatibility may not be the only strategy of the Kyoto company to enhance the existing catalog. During the recent Pop with Di Zurich, some visitors noticed a particular set -up at the Nintendo stand which turned on the spotlight on a possible commercial initiative linked to Lego titles. The banner exposed showed five popular games in the series with the 2 Switch logo positioned prominently above them, fueling speculations on possible editions dedicated to the new console.
The selection of games shown in the Swiss stand includes some of the most appreciated Lego titles in recent years. LEGO City UnderCover, the Open-World adventure game that transforms Danish bricks into an experience at the Grand Theft Auto for Families, is among the protagonists of the hypothetical lineup. Next to us find LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the ambitious collection that has conquered millions of players by revisiting the entire film saga with the typical irony of TT Games games.
The list is completed with Lego Jurassic World, which allows you to relive the prehistoric adventures of Spielberg and Trevorrow’s films, LEGO Harry Potter Collection that contains the adventures of the most famous magician in the world, and finally LEGO DC Super-Villains, the original Spin-off that overturns the traditional perspective by putting the bad guys in the center of the narrative.

The use of the Switch brand 2 raises questions about the nature of this initiative. On the one hand, it could simply be a demonstration of the backlessness capacity of the new console, showing visitors to the convention which Switch titles will be able to continue playing on the new hardware. On the other, the specific choice of the Switch logo 2 suggests the possibility of dedicated editions with technical improvements or additional content.
The hypothesis of versions optimized for Switch 2 would acquire greater credibility considering the superior technical potential of the new console. Lego games, while maintaining a stylized aesthetic, could significantly benefit from improvements in the resolution, in the frame rate and in the loading times, aspects that have sometimes limited the experience on the original Switch.
A particular detail emerges from the analysis of current digital promotions. Several of the titles shown in the Swiss stand are currently in a strong discount on Nintendo’s ESHOP, with reductions that reach 90% of the original price. LEGO City UnderCover is available for only 3.99 pounds instead of 49.99, while the Deluxe editions of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker saga and Lego Dc Super-Villains cost 11.99 and 4.79 respectively.
This aggressive pricing strategy could hide a wider commercial maneuver. Warner Bros Games, holder of the publication rights for most of these qualifications, could be awaited the conclusion of the promotions before officially announcing the Switch 2 editions, thus avoiding potential conflicts with the players who have just purchased the discounted versions.
