With an official statement, Square Enix has announced the start of the collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter World.
“Today the 4.36 patch has been published, marking the beginning of the collaboration between FINAL FANTASY® XIV Online and Monster Hunter: Worldâ” ¢.This latest update brings the powerful dragon Rathalos, directly from Capcom’s success story, in world of FINAL FANTASY XIV Players can face this dangerous enemy in Normal or Extreme difficulty to get various game rewards.
FINAL FANTASY XIV Online 70-level players who have completed the main story of “Stormblood” can immediately undertake the “The New King on the Block” mission to face Rathalos in the “The Great Hunt” Trial, an eight-player battle that incorporates mechanics inspired by Monster Hunter: World. Those looking for a more challenging challenge can instead try The Great Hunt (Extreme), a four-player version of the Trial with additional obstacles to overcome.

The tour will start in North America on November 16 and 17, 2018 in Las Vegas, will follow with the European Fan Festival on 2 and 3 February 2019 at La Grande Halle de La Villette in Paris and will end with the Tokyo Fan Festival in March 2019.
