Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles could be a new beginning for the famous strategic spin-off of the Square Enix house, if the remastered edition should prove to be successful on the market.
The Publisher decided to listen to the fans who wanted the return of this beautiful pearl of the past, but now it is up to the community to give answers that the developers can convince to continue the narrative with unpublished chapters.
In an interview with Inverse, the Kazutoyo Maehiro Director has in fact anticipated that on his part there is all his will to continue with new episodes, but everything will depend on the actual reaction of the community:

«Even if we cannot make promises for the future, if this title is successful, this will demonstrate not only the interest of the players, but also the feasibility as a business.
Such success would open the way to launch new strategic ones who follow The Ivalice Chronicles. We sincerely hope that this happens ».

His words make it clear that Square Enix will follow the market results of the remastered edition of Final Fantasy Tactics very carefully (you can book it on Amazon, by the way): if it were to obtain results higher than expectations, at that point the publisher would take the idea of ​​continuing the saga in serious consideration.
An idea that obviously fascinates me a lot, and I think this feeling is shared by all fans of the original chapter: we can only cross our fingers and hope that a product of excellent quality will come out and that it will also be rewarded by the market.
